FoWB Advisory Board member Radmila Šekerinska appointed as NATO Deputy Secretary General

Ustanovitelj in direktor zavoda Prijatelji Zahodnega Balkana Borut Pahor je danes v telefonskem pogovoru čestital članici Posvetovalnega odbora FoWB Radmili Šekerinski za prevzem dolžnosti namestnice generalnega sekretarja zveze NATO.

Ob tem je dejal: “Ponosen sem, da je Radmila članica Posvetovalnega odbora zavoda FoWB. V kratkem času od naše ustanovitve je sodelovala na dveh konferencah, ki ju je FoWB pripravil v Sloveniji. Tudi ob teh priložnostih je dokazala svojo politično izkušenost in zrelost, strokovnost glede varnostnih vprašanj in tudi značajsko širino, odprto za dialog. Njeno imenovanje na položaj namestnice GS NATO je posebej odlična novica za Zahodni Balkan. Zavod Prijatelji Zahodnega Balkana ji želi uspešno opravljanje zahtevnega dela.”

Founder and director of the Friends of the Western Balkans Institute Borut Pahor called FoWB Advisory Board member Radmila Šekerinska to congratulate her on assuming the role of NATO Deputy Secretary General.

He said: “I am proud that Radmila is a member of the FoWB Advisory Board. In the short time since our establishment, she has participated in two conferences organized by FoWB in Slovenia. On these occasions, she demonstrated her political experience and maturity, her expertise in security issues, and her broad-minded character, open to dialogue. Her appointment as NATO Deputy Secretary General is particularly great news for the Western Balkans. The Friends of the Western Balkans Institute wishes her great success in fulfilling this challenging role.”
