Borut Pahor receives the Wilhelm Bock 2024 Award

The ceremonies for Wilhelm Bock Award presentation in Germany began with former President Borut Pahor’s entry into the city book of Gotha and a reception at City Hall with Mayor Knut Kreuch. At the official ceremony, held at the historic Gothaer Tivoli—the very building where the German Social Democratic Party was founded in 1875—Pahor was honored with the award for his outstanding social and democratic engagement in Central and Eastern Europe. The laudatory speech was delivered by Carsten Schneider, Minister of State to German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Federal Government Commissioner for Eastern Germany.
