Borut Pahor at the EU night: “Europe Needs more, not less Europe”

Direktor in ustanovitelj Pahor se je udeležil Noči Evropske unije na Fakulteti za družbene vede Univerze v Ljubljani, kjer je prisluhnil razpravi z odličnimi gosti in naslovom: “Sic transit gloria mundi: Will in 20 Years Time the EU still be a Relevant International Player?”.

Razpravo v kateri so sodelovali prof. dr. Michael Kaeding, dr. Igor Kalinić in Gregor Makuc je moderiral prof. dr. Dejan Verčič.

Director and founder Borut Pahor participated in the EU Night at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana, where he listened to a panel discussion with distinguished guests on the topic: “Sic transit gloria mundi: Will the EU Still Be a Relevant International Player in 20 Years?”.

In his opening address, Pahor emphasized the urgency of Europe's role on the global stage, stating: “The European Union is the best thing that has ever happened to us, but if it does not establish itself as a major global power within the next 20 years, someone else will take its place. Right now, we are in the laboratory of history. There are many questions, but one answer is certain—Europe needs more Europe, not less. However, current political trends lean towards sovereigntism.”

The discussion, which included Prof. Dr. Michael Kaeding, Dr. Igor Kalinić and Gregor Makuc, was moderated by Prof. Dr. Dejan Verčič.
