WeLead International Meeting in Ljubljana
Former President of the Republic, Borut Pahor, in his role as founder and director of the institute, was the keynote guest at the international WeLead project meeting, organized in Ljubljana by the Center of Excellence in Finance (CEF). The event gathers young public servants from the Western Balkans region, all under the age of 35.
“I am deeply moved,” Pahor stated. “For a long time, I have hoped that peace and reconciliation would become the foundation upon which the people and institutions of the Western Balkans build their common future. Without this foundation, it will not be solid or beneficial for all. The same was true at the birth of the EU—after World War II, it was founded on reconciliation and peace between former adversaries, creating a space for development, prosperity, and lasting peace for decades.”
