Former President Borut Pahor, founder and director of Friends of the Western Balkans, delivered a lecture today at the invitation of senator Tatjana Rojc and of the Senate Committee on the Balkans in the Italian Senate. His address, titled ‘The Western Balkans and Their Path to the EU’, emphasized the need for a faster enlargement process and advocated for a “package accession” of Western Balkan countries into the EU. Pahor specifically highlighted the risks of prolonged delays in Serbia’s EU membership, warning of potential consequences for both the region and the European Union.
