Bled strategic forum 2024
Former President Borut Pahor began this year’s Bled Strategic Forum with a working breakfast alongside Christian Schmidt, the High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina. During their in-depth, 90-minute discussion, they exchanged views on the situation in the region, with a particular focus on Bosnia and Herzegovina. Ahead of the official opening ceremony at the Festival Hall, Pahor hosted a lunch with his longtime friend, former Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu. As part of the forum’s first day, he also met with former Israeli Foreign Minister and close friend Tzipi Livni and had a brief yet meaningful exchange with France’s Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, René Troccaz. On the sidelines of the event, Pahor engaged in an in-depth and valuable conversation with Christopher Hill, the U.S. Ambassador to Serbia.
