27. Eurasian Economic Summit

Bivši predsednik republike Borut Pahor se v Istanbulu udeležuje konference 27. Eurasian Economic Summit. Danes je nastopil v zaključni razpravi z naslovom "From Crises to Stability, Building an Inclusive World". V svojem nastopu je izpostavil tudi potrebo po reformi UN.

Treba je povrniti zaupanje v moč dialoga, mirnega reševanja sporov in poštenega kompromisa. Kratkoročno je treba storiti vse za omejitev nevarnosti širitve obstoječih konfliktov in njihovo mirno reševanje, dolgoročno pa je treba dokončno požreti grenko pilulo, to je nujnost spremembe Združenih narodov in zlasti Varnostni svet.

Former President of the Republic Borut Pahor is attending the 27th Eurasian Economic Summit in Istanbul. Today he appeared in the closing debate entitled "From Crises to Stability, Building an Inclusive World". In his speech, he also highlighted the need to reform the UN.

It is necessary to restore confidence in the power of dialogue, peaceful conflict resolution and fair compromise. In the short run, everything must be done to limit the danger of expansion of the existing conflicts and their peaceful resolution, and in the long run it is necessary to finally swallow the bitter pill that is the necessity to change the United Nations and, in particular, the Security Council.
