Geneva UN High-Level Meeting - The Future of Multilateralism

Bivši predsednik republike Borut Pahor se v Ženevi kot ustanovitelj in direktor FoWB - Prijatelji Zahodnega Balkana udeležuje XXVII HL Meeting - The Future of Multilateralism. Nastopil je v razpravi “Global Governance Reform”.

Ali potrebujemo globalni konflikt, da se dogovorimo o napredovanju mednarodnega sodelovanja? Zgodovina kaže, da je tako, je dejal. Naša dolžnost je, da jo enkrat prehitimo. Ukrepajmo zdaj, je pozval, dodal, da je Slovenija pravkar nastopila članstvo v VS OZN ter sklenil: Pokažimo, da se je mogoče potruditi za novo, učinkovito raven sodelovanja!

Ob tem je opravil tudi intervju za Le Courrier des Balkans.

At the UN in Geneva, Former President Pahor as the Founder and Director of FoWB attends the XXVIIHL Meeting - The Future of Multilateralism.

On the panel "Global Governance Reform" he asked: Do we really need a major global conflict to agree… on how to advance international cooperation? History shows that we do. It is our duty to prove it wrong: Let us act now, he urged, adding that Slovenia has just joined the UNSC. Let us show that it is possible to work towards a new, effective level of international cooperation.

During the visit of Geneva he also gave an interview to a Le Courrier des Balkans.
